Long Meg and her daughters in the UK

This is the largest such structure in the northern part of the country. Long Meg is located in the county of Cumbria. This cromlech is sometimes referred to as the Circle of Moganbi.
The monument"Long Meg and her daughter" is formed of 51 stones, forming an oval figure of one hundred meters in length. Own Long Meg is called a menhir standing outside the circle, 18 m from it. It is built of red sandstone and has a height of 3.6 m. On the surface of this monolith there are spirals, cup-shaped signs and circles - traces of painting from the Bronze Age.
