This museum is dedicated to three talented sisters: Charlotte, Emily and Anne Bronte. It is located in Haworth, West Yorkshire. It was here that the sisters lived for most of their lives, and most of the novels and poems known throughout the world were written here. The family of Patrick Bronte, a native of Ireland, arrived at Haworth in 1820. The father of the family himself graduated from Cambridge, was a clergyman, and in the city of Haworth he was given a parish. He also wrote fiction and poetry. The daughters followed in their father's footsteps. The museum contains the Bronte Sisters Society, dedicated to the preservation of their heritage.
