Art House – exhibition building in Munich, formerly called the House of German Art, built by Paul Ludwig Troost in 1937 near the English Park.

The building of the House of Art was built on the site of the Glass Palace near the old botanical garden, which died in a fire in 1931. The construction of the new building began in 1933. In honor of the opening of such a large-scale exhibition hall in the Hofgarten Park, a traveling anti-modern exhibition Degenerate Art was held in the gallery building.

Before the Second World War, the German Art Day was held here every year.;, which opened with a welcoming speech by Adolf Hitler. From 1938 to 1944, the 'Great German Art Exhibitions' were held here every year.

The House of Art claimed the status of a temple of 'German Art', but its concept was from the very beginning built on a commercial Basis: places for cafes, pubs and restaurants were organized in the building. Any exhibit could be purchased at the exhibitions held here. The main buyer has always been the Fuehrer, so he won the fame of a patron of the arts.

During the post-war American occupation, thanks to bars and restaurants, the building was used as an officers' club. The US military is said to have played basketball in the building. Since 1949, at the House of Art in Munich, large art exhibitions are held annually. In 2007, more than two hundred works by 173 artists were demonstrated at such an exhibition.

The building of the House of Art was rebuilt in the 60s of the XX century. It was returned to its former interior in 2003-2004.
