The Church of St. Egidius is a Catholic church located in the historic part of Munster.

The first church dedicated to Saint Egidius, appeared in Munster in 1174. In 1184 a monastery arose at the church, which was the first Cistercian monastery in Westphalia. In 1821, the church collapsed and was soon demolished. Currently, Aegidiimarkt Square is located in its place.

In 1724-1729, only 100 meters from the place where the old temple was located, the current temple of St. Egidius was erected , in the style of classicism. The temple was built for the Capuchin monastery according to the project of Johann Konrad Schlaun.

After the demolition of the Basilica of St. Edigius, its community merged with the Capuchin community. Currently, the temple belongs to the parish of the Basilica of St. Lambert.
