Natural Reserve”Fiuminisi and Monte Scuderi” in Italy, resort of Sicily
Rating: 8,3/10 (602 votes)  Nature Reserve 'Fiuminisi and Monte Scuderi' is the kingdom of the Sicilian stone partridge (a medium-sized bird of the pheasant family). The park was declared a protected area in 1998. The total area of the park is 3 543 hectares. A characteristic feature of the park is – rapid streams, which are real geological laboratories, in which rocks of various origins can acquaint with the history of the origin of the earth and the structure of the Peloritan Mountains. In hot months, these streams often dry up. There are also several valleys in the reserve, among which Eremiti is especially popular, at one time visited by believers who lived in grottoes.
