The Cathedral of St. Vincent de Paul was built in 1883 and is located near the entrance to the medina. The cathedral got its name in honor of the priest Saint Vincent de Paul. He was sold into slavery by the Berbers in Tunisia, and after a few years he returned and devoted the rest of his life to the Catholic Church.

The building of the cathedral is a mixture of Gothic, Byzantine and Moorish styles.

There is a grave of an unknown soldier on the territory of the cathedral.
