The Palace of the Electors, located in Trier, is one of the most beautiful Rococo palaces in Germany.

The construction of the palace was started in 1756 and ended only in 1762. The author of the project was Johannes Seitz. Throughout the history of its existence, the building has been repeatedly rebuilt, so only the elements of the original buildings have survived to this day.

One wing of the palace was made in the Renaissance style, the other in the Rococo style. The facade was painted pink. The central tympanum was decorated with sculptures of Pomona, Apollo, Venus and angels by Ferdinand Tietz.

There are magnificent gardens around the palace, surrounded by carved arc-shaped hedges. From the garden to the palace there is a staircase, built in 1981, designed in the 18th century.
