Wilhelmshohe Cascade Park in Kassel – one of the largest and most beautiful landscape parks in Europe, located on a mountainside. The park is the main attraction of Kassel and is a complex palace and park ensemble.

The park, founded in the 17th century by order of Landgrave Karl of Hesse-Kassel, is made in the Baroque style. The Italian architect Giovanni Gverniero was invited to create an impressive complex of waterfalls, fountains, pavilions and terraces. This structure is crowned with a pyramidal tower, on top of which there is a statue of Hercules by the sculptor Johann Jacob Anthony. From here, from the highest point of the park, a magnificent view of the city and its surroundings opens.
