Grefrat Monastery – nunnery of the Augustinian order in Grefrat, founded in 1187. For its intended purpose, the monastery was little used – at first it was destroyed to the ground by a large fire, as a result of which 70% of all buildings in the city burned down. The monastery was restored in 1704, but in 1803 it was liquidated as a result of secularization. Today, the monastery walls houses the German Museum of Blades, widely known in Germany. In the collection of the museum there is a church treasury – a significant collection of the relics of the saints collected by the sisters of the monastery.
