Bridge over the Seine, located near the Eiffel Tower.

The bridge was designed for the 1900 World's Fair. The goal was – connecting the two banks of the Seine for quick access to pavilions dedicated to the military achievements of France. For some time the bridge did not have a name, and after 6 years it was completely moved to another place, moving away from the Eiffel Tower.

The name of the bridge was given only in 1908. Debiilly – French general who died in the same year. To perpetuate his memory, the bridge was given his name.

This pedestrian bridge is the second most important all-metal structure in France, after the Eiffel Tower.
