Cathedral of Notre Dame de Dom – 12th century Catholic Cathedral in Avignon, recognized as a French National Monument and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cathedral is located near the Papal Palace. It houses a burnt-Gothic crypt. In this crypt, the apostate Pope John XXII found his refuge. On the western tower of the cathedral stands a statue of the Virgin Mary of the 19th century.
