The Basilica of San Biagio, erected in the 18th century, is located in Piazza Stesicoro.

According to legend, there was a stove in this place earlier. her faith was burned by Saint Agatha. For many years the girl languished in prison, as she refused to betray her faith in Christ. Later, she was subjected to severe torture by fire, and then her chest was cut off.

The excellent facade of the church is the work of Antonio Battaglia. The facade was created in a neoclassical style. The triangular tympanum that adorns the facade is supported by paired columns. The interior of the church consists of a nave with strict clear lines.

The main altar is decorated with a canvas depicting Our Lady of Sorrows, columns and statues of St. Mary Magdalene and St. John the Evangelist.

To the right of the transept is the chapel dedicated to St. Agatha. Here, in a small case under the altar, are kept the remains of the furnace in which the saint was burnt. In 1938, Giuseppe Barone painted this episode in a fresco.

The chapel to the left of the transept was dedicated to the Crucifixion. One of the altars was consecrated in honor of Blasius of Sebastia. Here you can also see a painting depicting a saint, made by a local artist. Other altars are decorated with contemporary works by Sicilian artists.
