Rock of the Virgin in France, Biarritz resort

According to folk lore, this statue protects fishermen and sailors who feed in the Bay of Biscay. Today the statue of the Madonna – the real symbol of Biarritz. The bridge connecting the rock to the ground was built by Alexander Gustave Eiffel himself, the creator of the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris. The rock is washed by high crushing waves, so the ascent and walk along the rock – the most exciting and dangerous adventure.
