The first stone of the church was laid in a solemn ceremony in 1824. Such a long construction period was due to the political instability of France at that time, including the revolution of 1830 seriously undermined funding for the construction. The Paris Commune of 1871 seriously damaged several parts of the church building. Subsequently, all destroyed structures were completely reconstructed. The style of the church is kept in strict classicism. The portico preceding the entrance to the temple is decorated with a triangular pediment, on which you can see a bas-relief depicting Saint Vincent and his deeds. The facade of the building is decorated with many statues of saints and apostles. The interior of the church boasts a beautiful bronze sculptural composition depicting Calvary.
