On the territory of the old part of Monastir there is the Burgiri mosque. There are also many cafes and restaurants, souvenir shops in the medina. Compared to other medines in Tunisia, the Monastir medina looks very cozy and compact and is considered one of the most favorite places to walk among vacationers.
