Bourguiba Mosque in Tunisia, Monastir resort
Rating: 8,4/10 (900 votes)  The Bourguiba Mosque was built in 1963, the Hammoud Pasha Mosque in Tunisia was taken as a model and expanded over time. Today the size of the mosque can accommodate about 1,000 people. The prayer hall is decorated with beautiful columns made of pink marble. The mihrab is decorated with onyx columns and golden mosaics. 19 carved doors were made by skilled craftsmen from Kairouan. The locals venerate this place, and people who are not Muslims are not allowed to enter the mosque.
