The mansion, located in the center of the square of the same name, is the clearest example of a Renaissance palace with classicist elements. The building, designed by the architect Nicolas Bachelier, consists of three floors, a lush courtyard. The Assese family owned the palace until the middle of the 18th century, when it was bought by the Ozen Bank. Today, the mansion houses scientific societies and the Bemberg Foundation Museum. The collection of this museum includes canvases of Italian Mannerists: Canaletto, Veronese, Tintoretto, French Impressionists, Picasso, Modigliani, etc. We also recommend reading Cathedral of Saint Etienne in France, resort of Toulouse Topic: Palais Assese in France, resort of Toulouse. |
