The modern building stands in the city center, on Capitoline Square. The facade of the building, made in pink tones, was created under the guidance of a French architect Guillaume Camma in a transitional style, combining elements of baroque and classicism. In the 19th century, the bell tower and donjon were completed. Today, the Capitol houses the city meeting hall, an opera and a symphony concert hall.
