The museum is housed in a building dating from 1889, which can easily be confused with a modern building. The author of the project was the architect V. Dirshke. The building was built in the neoclassical style. Currently, the museum displays works of Egyptian and Greek art, works of Etruscans and ancient Romans, as well as numerous handicrafts from different eras.
