Cathedral (La catedral de Santa Maria de Toledo) in Spain, Toledo resort
Rating: 8,1/10 (5709 votes)  This cathedral is the main attraction of the city. It still functions as a religious building and as a museum. Previously, a Visigothic church stood on the site of the cathedral, later turned into a mosque by the Arabs. After the Christians defeated the Moors, they decided to build a temple in Toledo, but they laid it down only in 1226, that is, 15 years later. The cathedral was built for almost 3 centuries. This temple is one of the largest in Spain – its height – 30 meters, width – 60 meters, and the length is – 120 meters. It is difficult to see the side facades due to the surrounding buildings. Only the western main facade is clearly visible. The bell tower rises above it, the height of which is – 90 meters.
