The Weimar National Theater is the most popular in the city. In our time, two organizations are located within the walls of the theater - – The State Chapel and, directly, the theater itself. The construction of the theater began in 1906 and ended in 1907. The architects Litman and Heilmann became the authors of the project. The theater hosted performances by famous German composers. In 1919, the theater hosted a national congress, which adopted the new constitution of the Weimar Republic. Nowadays, the theater often tours the country and other German-speaking regions.
