Piazza Bra in Italy, Verona resort
Rating: 8,7/10 (1032 votes)  Piazza Bra is the largest city square, as well as the social and commercial center of Verona. The main entrance to Piazza Bra is opened by the two jagged arches of the Portoni de Bra that make up part of the city walls, which were built during the reign of Gian Visconti. Not far from the towers, you can see the pentagonal tower, which was also part of the city wall, and has survived to our time. In the central part of the square there is a square, which houses the equestrian monument of Victor Emmanuel II, the fountain of the Alps and a monument erected at the end of World War II in honor of the Italian partisans who `` fell for freedom. '' Piazza Bra is overlooked by the facades of buildings such as Palazzo della Gran Guargia and Palazzo Barbieri. Also on the square is the Verona Amphitheater with the adjoining San Nicolo al Arena temple. Piazza Bra, along with other attractions of Verona, was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
