The Russian Orthodox Monastery of the Holy Trinity is located on the banks of the Jordan River. This monastery belongs to the Russian Spiritual Mission of the city of Hebron. Not far from it there is a well-known historical landmark of these places – the cave tomb of Makhpel.

In the 19th century, the Russian Spiritual Mission, located in Jerusalem, acquired a significant plot of land, on which the Holy Trinity Monastery was built. The consecration of the monastery took place in 1925.

There is a building on the territory of the monastery, which houses the pilgrims who come to these regions. Also next to the monastery you can see the famous Mamre oak, under which the biblical patriarch Abraham appeared angels.
