Great Bell Temple in China, Beijing Resort
Rating: 8,2/10 (1135 votes)  This Buddhist temple was erected in 1733 during the reign of Emperor Yongzheng. There are four halls in the temple. The temple got its name due to the fact that it contains a bell, cast in 1406. The bell is about 7 meters high and weighs almost 47 tons. This bell is one of the largest bells in the world and is believed to be audible at a distance of twenty kilometers. In 1985, the Museum of Ancient Bells was opened in the temple. It displays hundreds of bells that were cast in China and neighboring countries.
