The church was erected on the site where a Gothic monastery was previously located, which was completely destroyed during the Swedish invasion. The building was designed by the architect Jan Kotitel. The temple is decorated with stone sculptures of saints created in the 18th century by four sculptors. From the southern part, the building is adorned with two gigantic towers. Nowadays, the Dominican Church of St. Michael is one of the most popular attractions in the Czech Republic.
