This temple is one of the most beautiful and famous temples in the city. It was erected in 1848 in honor of two Taoist gods: the god of war Mo and the god of literature Man. On the main altar of the temple, the gods sit side by side – one of them is holding a saber, and the other is holding a brush. Together they symbolize the unity of strength and education.

Man Mo Temple is not at all big. Inside there is a large hall and side rooms, which are intended for prayers. Candles and lamps are constantly burning in the hall, and it also smells like a mixture of incense – It is believed that good and evil spirits react to smells, so a large number of aromas are important for them.

In front of the entrance to the temple there are wooden carved thrones in the form of houses, in which figures of gods are worn during the holidays around the city.

In the temple, tourists can take part in some rituals. For example, they are allowed to light three incense sticks – for the future, present and past. Diviners also work in the temple, from whom you can find out your future with the help of a bamboo ritual. You can also find out the future from an English-speaking oracle. His predictions are said to often come true.
