It is believed that until now no one knew about this cave. It is not mentioned in any documents.

In 1940, adventure lovers began to explore the cave. At the same time, the legend of a dragon living there was born.

For the first time, the cave was seriously explored in 1954. The expedition was headed by the Swedish scientist Landberg. Since 1963, the Greeks began to explore it.

Research has shown that there are 10 halls and 7 lakes of different depths in the cave, which are connected with Lake Orestiada and among themselves. The cave was opened for visiting quite recently.

There is a path along the passage, which is 350 meters long. From it you can admire stalactites and stalagmites.
