Historical Museum of Istria in Croatia, Pula resort
Rating: 8,1/10 (2045 votes)  The Historical Museum of Istria is located in the Venetian fortress, which is a star-shaped structure with four bastions. The fortress is located in the center of the city. It was built in the 17th century by the French architect Antoine de Ville in order to protect the port of Pula. The museum displays both permanent and temporary exhibitions. It contains various collections from the history of shipbuilding and navigation, a collection of emblems, medals, photographs, old maps and postcards, coins, weapons and much more.
