The City Museum is located along the eastern city wall of the Upper City of Zagreb. The uniqueness of the building lies in the fact that it includes three buildings: the convent of St. Clara (17th century), a tower (17th century) and a granary (17th century).
The museum was founded in 1907 and includes 75,000 works of art. All exhibits were found, redeemed and accepted as a gift from the residents of the city, among whom were members of the Croatian Art Society. Many exhibits can tell something about the history and culture of Zagreb.
