Banner Tower in Vietnam, Hanoi Resort
Rating: 8,5/10 (1456 votes)  The banner tower, also known as the Cat Co, is today one of the architectural creations that has survived to our time. In 1894-1897, the tower was used by the French troops as an observation tower to observe the surrounding districts, and also as a point of communication between remote military posts and headquarters. The inscriptions have been preserved on the doors of the tower. On the western door you can see the inscription `` reflect the light '' (Hoi Quang), on the east door – greet sunshine at dawn (Nghen Hook), on the south door – 'dedicated to the light of the sun'.
