Rating: 8,4/10 (2566 votes)  The Latin gate is a single-arched structure, it is one of the gates of the ancient Aurelian wall. The gate gave the name to the street on which it was located. The gate was erected in the 5th century. The arch was originally constructed incorrectly. This architectural error was corrected in the 6th century during restoration work. For a long time, the gate was closed and was not used for its intended purpose. Nowadays, only a small traffic flow passes through the gate, since their dimensions are not suitable for large-sized vehicles.
