The Palatine Gate in Turin was built in the days of Ancient Rome. In those days, the gate was part of the ancient Roman wall, built in 28 BC. Today, the Palatine Gate is a unique historical and architectural structure in Turin.
The gate consists of two towers, between which there is a central gate. The original Roman building in the entire structure is only the gate, the towers were erected during the Middle Ages. Tower battlements were added in the early 15th century. During the Nazi occupation, two bronze statues were placed in front of the gate.
