Mount Nui Kotien, located north-west of the cape, resembles a lying fairy in outline. Northeast of the cape, you can see the island of Hon Rua, which looks like a turtle. At 300 meters from Honcheng there is a small islet of Hon Do, a notable Buddhist temple located on the top of the mountain. At the tip of the cape, on a massive boulder, there is a giant handprint. Legend has it that this imprint was left by a drunken wizard who accidentally fell while spying on a fairy bathing in the sea. Despite the fall, the wizard was able to get up and catch the fairy, after which they got married. Soon the angry gods decided to punish the wizard, sending him into exile indefinitely. The fairy was patiently waiting for her beloved. After a long time, she, in despair, turned into Mount Nui Kotyen. After the wizard finally returned home and saw what happened to his wife, he also turned to stone from grief.
