The Tan Ku Mansion is one of the oldest buildings in Hoi An. According to scientists, the house was built a couple of centuries ago.

In the architecture of the building, one can observe a mixture of Japanese and Chinese styles. The roof lines of the mansion are curved, which in turn is a hallmark of the traditional Chinese style, while the main part of the roof is in Japanese style. The architecture of the house also has echoes of the Vietnamese style & ndash; the columns, covered with strokes, supporting the roof of the mansion.

The house has four rooms filled with antiques made mostly of wood. Initially, each room of the mansion was intended for a specific purpose & ndash; the first hosted receptions for Chinese merchants, the second had a living room, the third had a covered patio, and the fourth was a bedroom.

Tourists can see three rooms of the mansion, with the exception of the bedroom.
