The Church of St. Paneromeni was built near two tombs that were carved into the rock (80 BC).

It is believed that the church has magical powers to heal diseases. The person suffering from any ailment should walk three times around the church building and leave something of his clothing in front of the entrance. After that, the sick person will be cured after some time.
