Church of Trinita dei Monti in Italy, Rome resort
Rating: 8,2/10 (1512 votes)  The Church of Trinita dei Monti is a titular church located at the top of the Spanish Steps. Construction of the church began in 1502 by order of King Louis of France Twelfth, who also financed the construction. The construction was completed only in 1585. At the beginning of the 19th century, the temple was seriously destroyed, after which it was soon thoroughly rebuilt. In 1789, an antique obelisk brought from the gardens of Sallust was erected in the church. Today it houses the Descent from the Cross by Daniele da Volterra.
