Previously, it was part of the Galerievsky complex, located in the north-east of Thessaloniki. In addition to her, the complex included a temple rotunda and a palace. The whole complex was surrounded by a brick wall. Now there is only one side span left of the arch, adjoining the wall connecting the arch with the rotunda, and two central bays. The central arched columns are decorated with bas-reliefs that depict the war scenes of their campaign against the Persians by King Galerius. The arch is 12.5 meters high.
