The House-Museum of Nature is located on the outskirts of Salzburg, on Museum Square. The museum was founded in 1924 by the famous zoologist Eduard Trats, who managed the museum until 1976.

The museum has more than 80 exhibition halls spread over 5 floors. A rich collection is kept here, which is replenished with new exhibits every year. Visitors can experience nature from all corners of the world, from the tropical jungle to the icy Arctic. Here you can see different landscapes, with inhabiting flora and fauna, get acquainted with the space and underwater worlds.

At the entrance, visitors are greeted by a dinosaur that can make scary sounds and shake its head affably. The pride of the museum is the exhibition "Sea World", which is about 40 huge aquariums, in which the underwater world is widely represented. The reptile exhibition hall has 56 equipped terrariums, where you can see about 200 different species of exotic animals, including snakes, turtles, frogs, chameleons and lizards.

In the space hall you can arrange a space trip, see an example of a space city, get acquainted with the structure of the universe, and also see how the American capsule "Mercury" looks like, in which flights into space were made in the 60s. Interplanetary scales are installed in the hall, which allow you to find out your weight on various planets. On the other floors of the museum, there are no less interesting and exciting exhibitions dedicated to birds, ice age animals, minerals and various types of mammals.

The last, fifth floor is given over to the exposition, illuminating the topic of man and the human body. Here you can spend more than one hour exploring your body on various teaching devices. This room contains the most interesting information and various facts about the organs of digestion, touch, the human nervous system.
