The Nature House or Natural History Museum is located on the edge of the historic center of Salzburg, on Museum Square. It was founded by zoologist Eduard Paul Tratz in 1924. The exhibits of the museum are located in the former monastery of the Ursulines and occupy 80 rooms. The museum presents a variety of exhibitions of inanimate and wildlife. Here you can see: & middot; Reptile Zoo, which has 56 terrariums inhabited by amphibians and reptiles. & middot; An aquarium of 40 observation pools, where the living conditions of marine animals are close to natural. & middot; Hall of space with a large diorama of landing on the moon, which is made in full size. Here is a model of the space cities of the future and the Russian space station Mir. A hall dedicated to mythology with exhibits of the cyclops, dragon, mermaid and unicorn. A large number of rooms are dedicated to minerals and geology, birds and mammals, the fauna of Africa, America, Austria, Asia and even the Ice Age. On the top floor of the museum there is an exposition dedicated to man. The human anatomy is presented here in detail, ranging from nails, ear and tongue, nervous system and ending with reproduction. & middot; One of the fascinating objects of the museum is the room for experiments with water, where visitors have the opportunity to experiment with this substance. A large number of stuffed animals are located throughout the museum. The museum's collections are constantly updated with new interesting expositions. While visiting the museum, in between viewing different rooms, you can relax in the cafe-restaurant located on the terrace.
