Photo and description

The Loipersdorf Thermal Complex is the largest in Europe. Its total area is 36,000 square meters. This spa resort consists of several zones and provides vacationers with all types of medical procedures, healing baths and water attractions.

Hot springs in the small Austrian town of Loipersdorf-Furstenfeld were discovered relatively recently - during the drilling of an oil well in 1972 year. Soon a resort area was developed at this place, and the popularity of the previously unknown mountain village has increased dramatically. The first health-improving complex appeared here in 1978, and over the year it was visited by 90 thousand people. However, in 1983 the spa resort was badly damaged by a fire, and restoration work took ten years. The ceremonial final opening of the modernized thermal baths happened already in 2001.

The Loipersdorf Thermal Park is now divided into several zones. The first, the main one, is called Erlebniswelt, and it is dedicated specifically to family vacations and various attractions. Children and adults alike can ride the water slides or even descend at high speed from a 100-meter pipe. There are also several swimming pools, saunas, fountains and even a real sandy beach. For children there is a special playground and a separate pool called "Moby Dick".

Another area - Schaffelbad - is considered a VIP area. There are sophisticated Roman baths, lounges, relaxation rooms and even nudist beaches. Therefore, access to this area is closed to minors.

The third area - Thermalwelt - is dedicated to different types of baths, differing in water temperature. There are several steam baths, saunas and a jacuzzi. There are cozy cafes throughout the entire thermal complex, and visitors are invited to sessions of all kinds of wellness treatments.
