The creation of the Church of Archangel Michael began in 1898. The construction committee, assembled specifically for the construction of the temple, was headed by Doctor of Medicine Bobrov. The main questions were the choice of the building site and the project itself. In a long discussion, the design of the temple was entrusted to Chrysanf Vasiliev. The plan of the temple is designed in the Russian-Byzantine style.

The foundation of the temple consisted of rubble stones of the previous church & nbsp; and was consecrated already in October 1903. Funding for the construction came from donations.

The construction of the temple went quite quickly. The installation of the cross on the temple took place already in May 1908. And in November of the same year the temple itself was consecrated. But in 1930, the temple was given to the city's trading base, which, in turn, led to the pollution of the territory and the destruction of the shrine.

In 1991, the Church of Michael the Archangel was given to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate and was appointed rector of Archpriest Valery Boyarintsev. The safest honor of the temple was the basement. It was there that all the services were held. But in bad weather, the basement was flooded with rain, which was a consequence of a faulty roof.

The works on the restoration of the temple were carried out from 1991 to 2005. From 1991 to 1992, the first project for the reconstruction of the temple was implemented, while the roof was covered with new iron. From 1992 to 1994, a liturgical building in the south aisle was equipped. Also, retaining walls were erected on the territory that the city organizer had not yet given up, water supply and sewerage systems were repaired, and the drainage system was cleaned. In the same period, a new reconstruction project was ordered.

From 1995 to 1996, the reconstruction of the western part of the territory began. They built concrete walls along the temple, new water supply and sewerage systems. From 1997 to 1998, they organized a collection of donations for the further reconstruction of the temple. We identified a place for receiving pilgrims. The main entrance was opened and new doors were installed. The project of the Parish House was created. From 1999 to 2002, the third project was accepted and the order for the construction of the bell tower was completed. From 2003 to 2005 - the implementation of the bell tower project, the destruction of commercial warehouses and the construction of houses for the church employees.
