Photo and descriptionLutsk brewery was founded in 1888 by the Czech colonist V. Zeman, whose family moved from the Czech Republic to the Volyn province. Having existed until 1906, the wooden building of the factory was destroyed by fire. Two years later, the brewery was rebuilt again, but this time from stone. In 1913, the brewery reached its maximum productivity, producing five types of beer: "Stolovoe", "Sakura", "Granat", "Bock-Bir" and "Pilzenske", which more than once won the Grand Prix in Paris and were awarded gold medals at international tasting competitions. The products of the brewer V. Zeman were widely known in many European countries. In 1938, the brewery went into the possession of Ezef Malinsky, Zeman's son-in-law, and already in 1939, after the Volyn province was annexed to the USSR, the Lutsk brewery was nationalized. In the post-war period, the enterprise was part of the Volynsk Production Association of the Beer and Non-Alcoholic Industry of the State Agricultural Industry of the Ukrainian SSR. In the 90s, the brewery was privatized. 2003 marked a new stage in the development of the plant, when a huge investment project was carried out by the joint Ukrainian-German enterprise Bayer, thanks to which a complete modernization of the enterprise was carried out. Today the plant operates on the latest equipment that meets German quality standards. The installation of new filtration equipment ensures that bottled beer can be stored for up to 30 days. Since 2004 Lutsk Brewery has been producing beer under the Zeman trademark. Today the Zeman trademark offers its consumers six sorts of beer, We also recommend reading Chateau d'Amboise description and photos - France: Amboise Topic: Lutsk brewery description and photos - Ukraine: Lutsk. |
