The All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art is located on Delegatskaya Street. The territory on which the museum is located was placed at the disposal of Lukyan Stepanovich Streshnev. In the first half of the 18th century, Vasily Ivanovich Streshnev began to build the estate. He bequeathed it to Count Ivan Andreevich Osterman. Then it became the property of Count Osterman - Tolstoy. In 1834 he sold it. This estate houses the Moscow Theological Seminary. Ivan Andreevich Osterman rebuilt the building in the spirit of classicism. In 1786, all buildings of the estate were made of stone, and the main house was three-story. The two-storey outbuildings were connected to the house by covered walkways. Two decorative ponds appeared in the front yard. The planning structure of the estate has been preserved to this day. Palace architect, presumably belonged to the school of M.F. Kazakov.

In 1981, the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art was founded. The collection of the museum contains works of decorative and applied art of the 18-20 centuries. In 1999, the collection of the museum was formed as a result of the merger of the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art and the Museum of Folk Art. S. T. Morozov, as well as library and archival funds of the Research Institute of the Art Industry.

The collection of the museum includes private collections: a collection of art metal by G.A. Kubryakov, a collection of Russian, oriental and European fabrics by N.L.Shebalskaya, a collection of porcelain by M.V. Mironova and A.S. Menaker. The museum presents works of decorative and applied art of Russian Art Nouveau M.A. Vrubel, S.V. Malyutin, A.Ya. Golovin, S. Konenkov, N.A. Andreev and others, and there is also a large collection of Soviet art from 1920-1950s. There are more than 120,000 exhibits in the museum.
