Photo and descriptionThe Luban Museum of National Glory was created on the basis of the order of the Department of Culture of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee No. 134 dated 22.10.1968. The museum opened its doors to visitors on July 3, 1971. The first exposition was dedicated to the life of the city of Lyuban from 1917 to 1971. It reflected the revolutionary struggle and the victory of the working class in the Revolution, the peaceful construction of a new life, the terrible war years of the Great Patriotic War, the post-war reconstruction of the country. The exposition of the museum grew rapidly. In 1994 a new building was built for her. The old one now houses a museum of traditional crafts and crafts. The total collection of the museum has more than 25 thousand items. In particular, the museum contains unique numismatic collections. Museum workers pay great attention to the history of their native land. Here is a rich ethnographic collection that recreates the peasant life of the 19th century.
