One of the most famous monuments of the Roman era in Turkey is the Column of Julian the Apostate. Column of Julian is located at the edge of the basin, between the Treasury Department and the Ankara City Hall, south of the ruins of the Temple of Augustus. It contains no inscriptions. The column height is 15 meters. It was built to commemorate the arrival of Emperor Julian in 362. People call this column the Belkis minaret.

Column of Julian built in Corinthian style with many hoops. At all times, this historical monument made a strong impression on the tourists of the city. An interesting fact is that storks made a nest at the top of the column.
