The Column of Constantine (Chamberlitash) is located on Chamberlitash Square in the Fatih district, next to the Nurosmaniye Mosque. Square stands on the site where the forum of Emperor Constantine was located in antiquity.

Only the Column of Constantine has been partially preserved from the forum to the present day. The construction of the column was completed around 330. The original height of the column was 35 meters, it was used as a pedestal for the statue of the emperor.

The column was partially destroyed in 1106 during a hurricane. The name Chamberlitash was given to the column much later and means 'girded column', as it was girded with iron hoops.
