It was created on the initiative of Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, founder of the environmental volunteer organization Sulabh International, which deals with the problems of alternative energy and waste management, at its main headquarters. In addition to the entertainment mission, to a greater extent, the museum's collection is intended to draw public attention to the dire sanitary situation that has developed in India at the moment.
