The museum is located in an old fort, which until 1970 remained the residence of the ruler of the principality. The exposition of the museum includes archaeological and ethnographic sections, a collection of ancient weapons, halls dedicated to the history of the Emirates police. Of particular interest to visitors may be the reconstruction of the way of life of the past and traditional crafts using `` wax '' figures. The exposition recreates the atmosphere of bygone years and the past way of life.

The museum exhibits items that are more than 4000 years old. During the excavations, numerous graves, necklaces, remains of ceramics and other belongings of the inhabitants of the fishing village were discovered.
