Located in one of the most popular resort areas in Cyprus - Ayia Napa, next to the Nissi beach, the Marine Life Museum is the only such museum on the entire island. Its huge collection contains all the representatives of the flora and fauna of the Mediterranean Sea, and not only modern species. There you can also see the most ancient fish, animals and plants that live in those waters several thousand years ago, the appearance of which was restored from the fossils. Thanks to this, museum visitors have the opportunity to see the inhabitants of the sea, which have long disappeared from the face of the Earth. The museum also houses paintings by local artists, items found on the seabed, including shipwreck gear, ceramics, and even works of art. Besides, one of the most interesting exhibits is a replica of the ancient Greek ship "Kyrenia-Eleftheria", which sank off the coast of the island around the 4th century BC

The museum opened its doors to visitors in June 1992. Under him, a marine park was also created, which will be of particular interest to children. There are wonderful performances with trained dolphins and sea lions.
