The Norwegian Railway Museum is located near the town of Hamar by Lake Mjosa and is run by the Norwegian National Railway Administration. This oldest museum, founded in 1896, houses various station buildings in an open area, there are locomotives and carriages of the first issues.

The museum contains a large selection of literature on the railway topic, photographs with views of various railways, illustrations, technical drawings and a collection of memorabilia.

The museum is open to visitors from June to September. During this period, video and animation films are shown, computer simulators work. While in the station master's office, you can send a message using Morse code, or try to control the movement of trains.
